Over two decades ago, the visionaries at NuVision helped pioneer sub-acute long-term care for children with complex and highly specialized health care needs. With the largest pediatric ventilator and pulmonary unit in the country, and innovative programs, such as an onsite school, Voorhees Pediatric Facility quickly rose to national prominence and established a new standard for comprehensive pediatric care for medically fragile and technology dependent children from birth to 21 years of age. Today, Voorhees Pediatric Facility stills serves as a model for subacute pediatric facilities in this country and around the world.
As the demand increased for inpatient and outpatient programs to serve the medical and rehabilitation needs of children and adolescents, the vision broadened. The concept of a child being able to access a full continuum of services from a single source was appealing to families and health care professionals. This concept resulted in Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital, Weisman Rehab Centers (outpatient services) and Weisman Children's Medical Day Care.
Today the Pediatric facilities serviced by NuVision include Voorhees Pediatric Facility and Kids Korner at Plantation Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (long term care facilities) in New Jersey and Florida, Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital, 5 outpatient and 3 medical day care programs located in Southern New Jersey.
